NYT.  Video pirates.  This quote is classic:

“We’re fighting our own terrorist war,” said Mr. Valenti, whose lawyers sent 54,000 letters to Internet service providers last year requesting the removal of copyrighted material from customers’ Web sites. The association also regularly refers cases to law enforcement officials and assisted the Customs Service in an antipiracy campaign that included raids on college campuses last month. “The great moat that protects us, and it is only temporary, is lack of broadband access,” Mr. Valenti said. He’s overreacting (a huge understatement 🙂

I just set up 2

I just set up 2 blogger sites for my client, using YACCS to provide a user comment feature.

One of the sites needs to use frames, and with blogger I can easily direct the output to a page which isn’t the site’s main page and have it displayed within a frame. They’re currently hosted on blogspot, but I can easily move them somewhere else.

I've been asked to develop

I’ve been asked to develop two Manila sites for a new client. However, he wants the site structured to use frames. After searching the Manila site, I found that Manila doesn’t support frames.

Does anyone know of a good work-around, perhaps using inline frames? If you do, email me.

Ken Rawlings drops a line

Ken Rawlings drops a line about his new XSLT script to convert OPML (especially mySubscriptions files) into HTML. His version includes links and orange XML buttons, but isn’t as pretty (IMHO) as Joshua Allen’s original so I made a few modifications to produce my own version.

So if you’re still with me after all that (or even if you’re not) here’s the RSS feeds I’m subscribed to.

Thanks to Joshua, Ken and Ted. [Aaron Swartz: Secret Agent]

Thanks Aaron! I added orange XML buttons to your script. The result is here and also as a navigation link

Well, everything's official now. I

Well, everything’s official now. I got the final approval on my mortgage and I gave them 60 days notice where I live now (it’s going to cost me $800 for breaking my lease). I’ll be moving in March.
