Summary:
The employee in this position is responsible for the analysis, design, and/or the development of application(s) and/or software solutions for the designated product line(s)
Primary Duty:
1. Develops specifications, designs, codes, and tests programs.
2. Assists with the development of processes for debugging, maintenance, and software installation
3. Assists Managers of Software Development and Customer Service on definition and design of application or software solutions.
4. Assists Manager of Software Development to create project schedules, plans, and time estimates.
5. Assists the Technical Communications group to develop documentation for assigned software projects.
Education:
Bachelorís degree or comparative work experience.
Experience:
Four years experience in a programming role.
Skill Requirements:
Extensive experience with one or more of the following: C programming language, Visual C++ , Visual Basic, Visual Fox Pro, Progress 4GL, Delphi, or a similar Visual Development Environment/Language, HTML, Java, JavaScript, XML is required. Knowledge of Application Frame Works, Integrated Development Environments, Version Control Systems, Case Tools, Design Patterns, Object Oriented Design and Analysis, and Object Oriented Development is desired. Must also have experience with Unix, Windows NT, MAC OS or similar operating systems.
